The most
powerful self-care ritual in the world.
Early detection gives us a 99% chance of preventing Breast Cancer.
The biggest contributing factor in India’s alarming rise in Breast Cancer is late detection. Experts agree that early detection not just catches cancer at a treatable stage, it can spot lumps before they become cancerous, effectively keeping us cancer-free 99% of the time.
A BreasyCheck™ 3D mammogram done annually is our best defence against cancer.
Catches lumps
as small as 0.3mm
40% more effective in detecting early cancer
40% decrease
in false alarms
The best detection
in dense breast tissue
Catches lumps 2 years before they can be felt.
Tomosynthesis™: A game changer
3D mammography is also known as Tomosynthesis™ where a low-dose X-ray takes multiple images of the breast to create an accurate 3D picture. It’s a highly advanced imaging tool that gives unprecedented access to a Doctor. It allows them to see thin slices of the breast tissue, making it very easy to spot lumps before they become cancerous.
Accurate imaging leading to fewer false positives
Helpful in cancer screening for dense breasts.
Increased cancer detection rate with lesser recalls.
Less aggressive treatments and better outcomes.
Reliable results with precise localization of the lump.
2D vs 3D mammography
An annual mammogram is proven to be our best defence against cancer. But the type of mammogram we choose makes all the difference. 2D mammography has been used for decades to detect Breast Cancer. But a 2D mammogram only takes 2 pictures of the breast, one from the side and one from above, giving Radiologists and Diagnosticians a very limited view of the breast. Meanwhile, a 3D mammogram takes multiple pictures to recreate the complete breast and highlight lumps as small as 0.3mm, helping doctors spot pre-cancerous lumps. This means we can lead a cancer-free life with just one easy scan.
2D mammography
Cannot detect minute lumps
High false positives
Not effective for dense breasts
Overlapping tissue image can hide cancer
3D mammography
Catches lumps as small as 0.3mm
Very low false positives
Ideal for dense breasts
Detailed view of the tissue to spot growth
Make your mammogram count.
Superior to
hand-held devices
Hand Held Ultra Sounds or HHUS are an alternative to 3D Mammography. However, a HHUS is not as accurate as a 3D mammogram, and could result in a follow-up biopsy after the scan. Tomosynthesis™, on the other hand, clicks multiple images of the breast from various angles creating an elaborate 3D structure. This offers a more accurate detection of any lumps without the need for any additional testing.
Inform your
self-checks
Breast Cancer detection has largely followed the “Touch and Feel” template to determine cancer. But often it is too late to win the fight against cancer when a lump is felt and caught. That’s why it is incredibly important to use technology that detects cancer sooner, smaller and promises better outcomes. 3D Mammography lets the Radiologist look straight through the tissue layers and catch even the smallest changes, even before they can be touched and felt.
FAQs
I don’t feel any lumps. Do I still need a 3D mammogram?
Early detection is the most powerful defence against breast cancer. A 3D mammogram catches lumps 2 years before they can be felt. This helps in treating lumps faster and in a more non-invasive way if possible and helps create a treatment plan that can keep cancer at bay.
Is there more compression with a 3D mammogram?
No, the compression is the same for a 3D mammogram as a 2D one. The time taken to take the imaging is also roughly the same.
How do I know if I have dense breast tissue?
Yes, women with dense breasts vs women with fatty breasts are at a higher risk. A 3D mammogram can help determine whether you have dense breasts or not.
Are dense breasts at a higher risk of Breast Cancer?
Yes, women with dense breasts vs women with fatty breasts are at a higher risk. A 3D mammogram can help determine whether you have dense breasts or not.
